This project began as a self-directed practice initiative aimed at mastering pixel art animation techniques without relying on game engines. What started as a simple DJ visualizer concept has evolved into an engaging video game introduction, drawing inspiration from my previous works, such as Stabber Turbo and Dawn Patrol.
The theme of a classic Mecha battling Kaijus resonated with me, allowing for exploration of both nostalgic retro aesthetics and contemporary realistic elements. This fusion aims to create a captivating visual narrative while maintaining a sense of playful familiarity.
Additionally, I embraced the challenge of using a vertical format, experimenting with how vintage video game graphics can be adapted to modern media. This unique approach not only enhances the viewing experience but also encourages innovative storytelling through visual composition.
Currently, the project is still in development, with plans to expand it into a short video game accompanied by related lore materials. I am excited to continue refining this work and exploring the limitless possibilities of pixel art animation.
